City & Guilds Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations (2391 – 52)

Our tutors will cover the numerous calculations and other theory required for the online exam. There will also be a closed-book photo task to test your ability at finding faults by inspection.

The course is a combination of the 2391-50 Initial Verification and the 2391-51 Periodic Inspection & Testing, recommended for students who have completed the Level 2 Diploma (2365-02), Level 3 Diploma (2365-03) and the 18^th Edition, all of which we offer here at CBWA either separately or through our full Gold Electrical Training Course package.

Confident in our wide range of electrical courses and experienced instructors, we also offer a free resit if you do not pass on your first attempt, and if there are any aspects that you feel you need to brush up on, you can come and join in with another class for free. We are here to assist you in every way possible to help you achieve your qualifications and go above and beyond other providers.

Course Content

The unit taught, and its learning outcomes, are as follows:

UNIT 502 – Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations

Learning Outcomes

• Understand requirements for inspection and testing of electrical installations
• Understand safety management procedures when undertaking inspection and testing of electrical installations
• Understand the requirements for the inspection of electrical installations
• Understand the requirements for testing electrical installations
• Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations

Schedule & Duration

• 5 Days => Monday – Friday (9:00am – 4:30pm, breaks included)

All of the course content will be covered on the first five days of the training course and then on the Monday of the second week you will complete your written assignment. The practical exam will be taken individually through the course with one of our assessors witnessing your practical exam. On the final half day you will do your computer exam (if you do not feel ready to sit your exam you can choose to come back at another time, this can be discussed with your instructor).

We provide you with your own training bays & equipment (can bring your own tools & equipment if preferred, e.g.  your own calibrated multifunction tester)
