The Building Regulations (Including Part P) & PAT Testing Course

1 Week Course with Exams - Available Now

The Building Regulations are taught on Monday and Tuesday and PAT testing is taught Wednesday to Friday.

The Building Regulations

In recent years, the UK Government introduced specific electrical safety rules into the Building Regulations for England and Wales. This has resulted in fixed electrical installation work in homes now needing to meet the Building Regulations by law.

This qualification is ideal for those wishing to work as a Domestic Electrical Installer.  You will learn all about the regulations you will need to comply with as an electrician, not just from Part P but from all relevant parts of the Building Regulations.

For this course, you will need the Electrician's Guide to the Building Regulations (5th Edition).

More information about this course can be found on the C&G website and in the course handbook.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)

This is the City & Guilds 2377 PAT Testing course, completed on the final three days. This is a very popular course due to it being a legal requirement that all commercially used electrical equipment is fully tested and certified by a competent and qualified person.  This qualification complies with the latest version of the In service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment 4th Edition.
